Our HORIBA Microsemi CRP brings a full blood count, a three-part white cell differential and C-reactive protein together on one platform.
Blood cell counts use electrical impedance; haemoglobin is measured photometrically and CRP by immunoturbidimetry.
- Red blood cells
- RBC count, haemoglobin (HGB), haematocrit (HCT), MCV, MCH, MCHC and red cell distribution width (RDW).
- White blood cells
- Total WBC count and a three-part differential: lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes, each as an absolute count and percentage.
- Platelets
- Platelet count (PLT) and mean platelet volume (MPV).
- Inflammation
- C-reactive protein (CRP), measured alongside the blood count.

Specialised immunochemistry
We are adding a Hotgen MQ60 series system to extend our laboratory into hormone, nutritional and inflammatory-marker testing.
The platform uses magnetic-particle chemiluminescence immunoassays. The areas below are supported by the manufacturer’s menu; our final test offering will be confirmed when the system is commissioned.
- Thyroid
- TSH, free T3, free T4, anti-TPO and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies.
- Hormones
- Testosterone, estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, prolactin and cortisol.
- Nutritional markers
- Ferritin, vitamin B12, folate and 25-OH vitamin D.
- Inflammatory signals
- IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-1β and TNF-α.
- Cardiac markers
- High-sensitivity troponin I and NT-proBNP.
